Pair of Victorian walnut, ivory and exotic wood inlaid rosewood side chairs, circa 1870, the arched and openwork backrest carved with scrolls to the top and inlaid with ivory scrolling Acanthus-leaves, above a walnut inlaid Anthemion above a pierced carved Anthemion and enclosed by panels of scrolling foliage, above a blue mottled velvet seat, the front apron and top of legs with banding in ivory, with front ivory-inlaid capped cabriole legs and tapering cylindrical back legs, one backsplat with restoration to joins, both backsplats lacking some inlay, both front legs with losses to bone inlay and repairs, some small chips to edges, areas of scuffing and scratches, 89cm high, 48cm wide, 51cm deep (Please note: this piece is not suitable for export)
